Food is my enemy
Food use to be my friend now it hates me. I having so much trouble eating, if I drink the water I need who wants food. And nothing taste good anymore. I am having such a hard time getting proteins in. Shakes make me gag. I know why I am tired most the time is because I am not getting enough protein, wish they made a protein pill, can you imagine how big that pill would be. I have only lost 33 lbs. and I am not eating, body must be on a hold the fat pattern. I quess I was wanting to see more off. Any one have any suggestion on to sneak proteins in? think there is a protein fairy somewhere?

We have the same surgery date and I have lost EXACTLY 33 lbs., too!! I don't think we're way off track. I gave up on finding a protein shake I like and settled for one I could tolerate every day (Nectar). It tastes like Tang and is tolerable at best. Today I bought the South Beach Diet Cereal Bars with 10 grms. of protein. They actually taste GREAT!! As soon as I started getting more protein my energy level shot UP!! I am actually feeling great now. Hope you can find some protein that will work for you and hang in there!

I am with you on those thoughts....I wish they made a protein pill...sure would be profitable just from us weight loss patients! I had surgery on July 27th and have lost 32 pounds. I am getting in all of my protein (I have to have 70 grams a day) and all the water plus! My best source of protein is skim milk...I can drink about 2 cups in about a half hour and that is 16 grams...plus sometimes (breakfast for sure) I add a carnation instant SF breakfast to it so then it gives me 21. That is how I usually start my day...and end it.
Here is kinda what I have daily..
Prevacid first then--
For breakfast -- 2 cups milk with carnation SF instant breakfast and my
chewable vitamin..21 grams of protein
--2 hours later have some watered down OJ (still too sweet for me) to take iron pill..2 grams of protein
-For lunch I usually eat about half of a frozen chicken/turkey and potatoes dinner with gravy (the gravy makes it easier to swallow after of course I have chewed-chewed-chewed). about 12 grams protein
--half an hour or so after lunch I will have about 1 and 1/2 cup of milk..12 grams of protein
--about an hour later ...one string cheese...8 grams of protein...
--Dinner..other half of frozen dinner..11 grams of protein
--half hour later or so...1 cup of milk ...8 grams of protein...sometimes I put in the carnation breakfast.
--Before bed I usually have a sugar free fudgesicle...2 grams of protein
Right before bed I chew my other vitamin...This seems to keep my energy level up as opposed to taking both vitamins at once.
Maybe this will help you some...

You should be able to find the Carnation SF Instant breakfast down your local grocery stores cereal isle...usually near the oatmeal and and malt-o-meal. It comes in an eight pack and costs about 5.00 a package. Sometimes, if your lucky you can find them on sale or BOGOF (buy one get on free) I tried both the chocolate and french vanilla..I LOVE the french vanilla...chocolate to me is yucky..I think I was expecting it to taste like chocolate milk and it didn't to me.
Just make sure you get the Sugar Free....It is in a blue box and the regular is in a yellow box.

I take water with me everywhere!! I use a 20oz bottle of water and refill it all day long. We keep a gallon jug of water in frig (one with a spout) and we also have a pitcher of crystal light (usually make one a day). I almost always have some crystal light in a 16 oz glass and a bottle of water by wherever I am sitting. I also have a barix 32 oz jug for water that I keep filled mostly with ice cubes (and a little water) for bedside. When I wake up to use bathroom in night it is so nice and cold!!!

P.S. I go potty ALOT!!!
I have found a wonderful product that I use daily to get my required protein in. It is called unjury. You can find it at www.unjury.com or maybe at a local health food store. It comes in several different flavors, but I prefer the unflavored. In the morning for breakfast, I have a carb freedom yogurt that has 9 grams of protein and mix it with one scoop of unflavored unjury that has 20 grams of protein. That's 29 grams of protein in a 6 oz. cup. Works pretty slick.
I have also found protein water from Stacker 2. It is a 20 oz. bottle of flavored water that has 20 grams of protein in it. It comes in three different flavors...grape, pink lemonade, or green apple. I love the green apple...it tastes like a sour apple jolly rancher.
Between the unflavored unjury and the protein water, I am able to get well over 80 grams of protein per day. The nice thing about the protein water is that you are killing two birds with one stone!
Happy Losing!
