Hi all, I've been reading several post regarding pouch rules. Does anyone know where I can look for it? Is there a site just about rules for your pouch? I, like many others can eat more food of certain kinds and only 2 bites of others but I'm very worried that I've stretched my pouch, sometimes I think I'm a little about it but my husband had surgery too and he can hardly eat anything. I just need some advice on this. Cheri

Sue, Thanks so much. There was alot of information there. I made copies and I'm going to call my Dr. today ab out a few things. I seriously think I have a problem where my staple line has a small hole in it and my food goes down to my large stomach and then intestines and my hubby has the problem of his being to small. I can't thank you enough Sue. Cheri

I think everyone is able to tolerate things differently. I can only eat about 3 teaspoons of cottage cheese at one sitting, whereas I can eat about 1/2 of a frozen lean chicken and potatoes dinner. For me the gravy is what makes the chicken go down easier, Mind you I still chew it to a yucky paste consistancy. I can eat 1 string cheese, again I chew it to an awful paste, almost makes me wonder why bother eating it, but if I don't it feels like something is stuck in my throat, and I have to wait about 5 minutes till it passes through to take another bite. I beleive we are suppose to stay in the range of 2oz servings, or 1/4-1/2 cup servings, but everyone is different! Mandie

Amanda, Thanks for the advice. You are probably right. Sue has given me a great site to check out. It has alot of info there. I think everyone who had WLS.should read it. I think there's info there that alot of docs probably did'nt tell their patients. Cheri
