I'm not losing lbs,, but ...
I'm not losing lbs,, but i am shrinking! Is anyone out there in the same boat as me? I "pre-trained" for 3 years prior to my surgery with my diabetes. Brought my cholesterol down from 220 to 149 my HbA1c from 10 down to 5.5. I severely limited my carbs and fats and exercised every day. After 3 years I averaged a weight loss of 1 lb. per month!! I lost 12 lbs. at my 3 week post surgery visit. I am almost at 6 weeks and it looks like I'm down 1-2 lbs. My body is smaller, as I am fitting into smaller clothes.
Anyone else? Help? Suggestions?

Candy,
Although I've lost a around 40 pounds, I've been at a stall for 2 weeks now. But...I've noticed inches coming off instead of pounds. All of my pants are getting too long because my butt isn't as big! LOL I am not exersizing yet because I had open surgery and then pnuemonia, so I've only been home from the hospital for a few weeks, but plan on starting a walking routine soon. Maybe even tonite. But, I'd say take what you can get - this just has to work.... I have faith!
Hang in there!

Hi Candy~
I am so with you! I am stalled at -30 (which I am so thankful that I have been able to loose that much!) been there about a week and a half.....kinda depressing but, I feel my clothes loosening up on me too.
It is a strange phenomenon....just go with it!!! Keep doing what your Dr. says....our bodies will pick back up onto the "loosing" streak.

I was at -40 for ten days, finally dropped to -42. I keep thinking it's because I'm eating too much - some days I get in 1200 calories. It's all good stuff - protein, but I do eat when I'm hungry. I chalked the plateau up to possible fluid retention/shifts because it's been very hot. Also, I haven't really started excercising yet. I say, just hang in. If you're eating so little calories, and high protein, it's bound to come off. At least that's what I'm telling myself!
i totally feel the same way. i am down sizes in clothes but currently i am holding strong at -41 lbs. i get measured tomorrow so i will find out how many inches i have lost...that will hopefully help me feel better. chin up! try measuring once a month...scales can sometimes lie! and if you are working out at all you might be tightening up. that's what i am hoping for anyways.
