I wish I could be of some help but I have to say. I wish I could have diareaha at least once a week, I have been so constipated since surgery I'm at my wits end and milk of magnesia is so gross, but I have to take it. On the other hand, I have thrown up a few times and am learning some hard lessons on getting to know my new stomach. Best of luck to you Janice 260/218/145

Have you had any type of sugar free candy? I know for me the sugar alcohol in "sugar free" candy, even hard candies -- like brachs sugar free starlight peppermint candies, will cause me to have diareaha, I will usually have the diareaha affect the day after I eat it. Just an idea. Mandie

Did you know too much grease in food can also cause dumping like symptoms? I thought I would throw that out there because I didn't know that until recently. Could it be that? Don't forget to be extra vigelant with drinking your water-- you could get dehydrated easily! Hugs again! Linda

Hi Sue, Well my hubby gets diarea alot to and come to find out it was the FF milk and some SF cookies that might have a laxative substance in the ingredients. So take a look at some of your food labels. You never know!! Take care, Cheri

Sue- Funny you should mention this--- You might have noticed that I posted about diarrhea a while back. I played with my pills, cut out dairy and nothing was happening. For the past week I have been sick at the thought of eating because of the repercussions. If it is CONSTANT and if it is really diarrhea (liquid) and there is urgency CALL THE SURGEON. It turns out I have to go in for some tests on Tuesday because they think I have c-dif (sp?) which is a bacterial infection that can happen due to the amount of antibiotics we are given in the hospital (via IV). It kills off the good bacteria in your GI system and these little monsters mutate and start multiplying. A course of medicine gets rid of it.
