Does this sound familiar???
Hi-
The past week I have had the loudest gassiest, violent visits to the bathroom. Quite frequent, too (since I am a bit shy to go into more detail).
I spoke to my surgeon's office and they have suggesting laying off the milk (I have), avoid fat (was) and consider a second Iron supplement and Acidophilus (will do). They seem to think this is pretty common initially while your body adjusts. And if it continues next week to call again.
Does or did anyone have this experience? I don't want to live on Imodium, and to be honest, I can't keep going to the bathroom at work (I travel, and when your on the plane it's a bit awkward).
Andrea,
I can't say that I've had any problems at all but ny husband is another matter. He too had the same problem as you and still does if he drinks milk. It's fat free/skim milk. I think it's that too because it's new to your body and it's still adjusting. This was a major surgery and people seem to forget that. It'll take time to adjust to all the new things your putting in your body now and all the crap you no longer put in it. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Try to stay away from the milk andm see what happens.

Andrea, I had this same problem not but 3 hours ago and i am just starting to feel better. I have been drinking 2% milk since i have been home and went all last week without it...Big mistake..I had a CIB for snack...O MAN did i feel it...almost instantaneously. I was in the bathroom for a half an hour....i then took a warm bath and some immodium and felt better. I am so bummed cause the 1% and skim make me gag...Maybe i will buy simply smart.....I wish you luck though!!
