Pouch = New found junk detector
Hello all, I hope your weekend went well. I actually a few times this weekend for the first time. I'm really having to learn to revise my eating/chewing habits. Up until now, I've basically stuck to softer foods, nothing extremely dry or hard. We got chinese food last night and I ordered beef brocolli thinking it would be best for me, well, three small bites and I knew I'd made a mistake, I ended up the yummy brocolli, and the meat wasn't so easy to chew so I had a piece of sweet & sour chicken and it stayed down. A little while later I had a fortune cookie and it went just fine, well this morning, I pressed my luck and had another fortune cookie and tossed it instantly so I won't be going there again. Although it was nasty, I'm loving my new found junk/bad food detector. It's really keeping me on the straight and narrow. (Please don't flame me for trying a fortune cookie or ss chicken, I just wanted something different than straight protein for once in 7 weeks.)
The weirdest thing happen to me on Thursday, I had a meeting at work and they served some cookies and soda pop and after the meeting I wanted to go and get a few of the leftovers for my husband and I got within two feet of the cookie table and got instantly nauseus. I hadn't even considered trying one either so it wasn't a guilt thing. Anyway, I just thought it was really weird.
Anyone else have weird moments?

I'm very happy about the dumping. I'm tickled pink that I can't eat just anything like some people.
My husband is keeping me on my toes too, every time I start eating he says, "slow..slow..slow" because he's seen me get nauseated a few times now. He's liking the results of my surgery too. I still don't think he realizes what a major surgery I went through but he's starting to get used to my ability or disability to eat and when he serves food he's better than me at knowing my serving sizes. My eyes still tend to be bigger than my pouch.
