Weight loss
I had my surgery on July 26th, 2005, at my first week's check-up I was down 14 pounds, the next week I went in for 2 week post-op nutrition appt and was down another 10 pds, I have lost another 10 pds since then, but haven't lost anything for a week and half, has anyone experienced a slow down or stall in their weight loss?
Thanks Sherry
I feel your pain =). I plateaued at about 4 weeks out for a week. Then lost a few more pounds and plateaued again for another week. I was really frustrated, though I knew there was no way the plateau could sustain itself forever with me eating so pathetically little! Then it occurred to me to start tracking my measurements and, sure enough, I had been losing inches and body fat % the whole time. A big relief! Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so the scale may not be changing, even though your body is. Hang in there!
My name is Errol Durbin. I had surgery July 7 and came out of the hospital on July 13 at 355 pounds. As of September 1 I have lost 70 pounds. Have not really had any trouble. I had sleep apena and now am not snoring at nights my wife reports and the VA told me to come off the CPAP. Also am not taking any medication for diabetes. I am not as tired as I was before.
