Leak Scare
Since Monday I've had a lower back ache that kept getting worse. I thought I must have pulled a muscle or something. Yesterday at workI called my doctor and she instructed me to go to the ER. She was concerned over a possible leak. After all day/night at St Mary's, I found out that it wasn't a leak and that I had kidney stones. I am so relieved, and yet so sore still. So, today it's water, water, and more water.
I passed one last night and now the others feel like they're moving or something. Water, water and more water for me.
Even though they hurt, I'm just SO relieved that I don't have a leak. When they said it could be a leak, my heart sank. Who would've thought kidney stones were good news;)
I know two people that have had this surgery and they both had stones for the first time within a year after WLS. I wonder if there's a connection.
You poor thing - that must have been horrid
I'm having a lot of pain where my gall bladder was - I call it phantom gall bladder pain (as in like when a limb is removed), but I really think it just gas or adhesions. That's what surgeon's office thought. But that isn't anything near like what you went through.
PS. My surgeon takes gall bladders at least for DS surgeries.
