Denise,
Welcome to my world! I throw up at least once a day on average! One day something will work well, and then the next, it hates me.
Right now I'm going through a stage where I just HATE all food. I don't want to eat anything! Dangerous I know. I'm so tired of counting grams and trying to get enough, only to throw it back up and have to start all over.
But you are right, once I I feel better immediately.
Hang in there!

I am at the same stage. I HATE FOOD!!! It has become quite a chore to eat. My doctor required pureeds for 2-3 weeks and then I was aloud to move on to some real food very gradually. I did something dumb and tried to eat a little piece of soft taco. It was stuck for 2 days!! I didn't realize it was stuck. I just woke up the next day and had horrible pain and couldn't eat or drink anything. I didn't throw up so it just sat there. I thought that would be the last time that happened. Yesterday I ate a piece of string cheese. I eat shredded cheese and cheese slices so I thought it would be fine but NO!! It hurt and I thought I would die. Finally I made myself throw up. I felt better until I took a drink of water and realized my stomach was still full! So, I threw up again. I felt better until this morning. Now I feel yucky again.
I am afraid to each anything for fear that it might get stuck. You are right, it is dangerous to get this way. I usually drink my Isopure with 40 grams of protein and each a few bites of something 1-2 times a day. I need to work on actually eating more. My nutritionist says I need to eat 6 times a day!
This will get better .. right?

Go**** so good to hear I am not alone. I have been eating sashimi for dinner because its soft, moist and all protein about two times a week. This week I was traveling for work, and we went to dinner. I had one piece of tuna and I had to run out of the restaurant (in front of business colleagues) back to the hotel. Luckily, they took it well.
The worst is sometimes I'll feel sick for an hour or two before I finally throw it up. I've taking to eating only cottage cheese and yogurt at work because I know these foods are safe.
I spoke to my cousin and she says to "hang in there' between 3 and 6 months it seems to get a lot better.
Until then we just need to keep our chins up-- or down while we !
Hi Denise, I call that 'yakking' and it happens to me sometimes too. I carry a disposable cup with me and keep some at my desk. I have warned the people in offices close-by that if they hear me coughing to ignore it. That's what happens to me ... I cough a few times and then yak it up (oh boy, what a conversation) and then feel better.
