I am whining today. I know many of you are on strict liquids for about 6 weeks. My doc only required it 10 days and then an as tolerated introduction of whatever. I never thought I would have such a hard time being creative with meals. I am lucky - I can eat most everything. Just not sure how to prepare anything. I have had moist chicken grilled, in chicken soup, hamburg in chilli, and meatloaf, steak on the grill moist and grilled zucchini. Vegs are okay soft/ Had baked eggplant stuffed with ricotta and hamburg covered in sauce. Had a taco from Taco Bell. AND still lost 30 lbs in 4 weeks. I am burning out on getting creative. GRILLED MEAT- and a Veg is getting boring. Today I went out to eat- SOUVLAKI... have enough left for a week of meals guese what grilled chicken and vegs. Besides pork chops( stuffed) I have no clue on how to prepare them for a taste other than BLAND grilled or baked pork loin... ANY ONE HAVE A JUICY IDEA FOR SOMETHING NEW>>SEAFOOD MAYBE!

Your menu sounds great. I am still on pureed foods for another week and a half!! It's wild what different doctors recommend for people to eat at different stages. I have been on another website that has a lot of recipes and restaurant choices. It's www.wlsfriends.com Lots of recipe ideas. There is also a book I got from Amazon called Eating well after weight loss surgery by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray. The recipes look really good and I can't wait to get off this mush I have been eating. Good luck in your recipe hunting. Jo

I've started keeping frozen cooked shrimp in my freezer. It only takes a couple minutes to thaw a small amount under running water and they're great with mixed veggies or just simple shrimp ****tail. I'm not much of a cook, so this is a really easy way for me to get a quick meal ready. I also do frozen scallops, which are also relatively fast to cook.

Hello, I had surgery the same day as you and also am aloud to add foods. I am still not allowed breads, fresh fruits or fresh vegetables. I am finding that I do not have an appetite!!! I drink 20 ounces of Isopure a day (40 grams of protein) and eat 1-2 times a day. I can only eat about 1/4 cup of anything. I am also bored to death with food. I seem to do soups like veggie or bean, chicken, chicken and oh yeah .. chicken. I also like LF Ritz crackers with a slice of FF chese on them. I can only get 2 crackers and a slice of cheese in!! How much are you eating? Shellie
