Okay guys I just had an open Bypass this past Tuesday, I am not suppose to pick up anything thing heavier then say 5 lbs. I was in my office just sec ago and my office chairs leg was caught under the rung, and with out thought like I have always done a million times before I picked up the leg of the chair to get it over the rug, I didn't pick it up very far but still I am sure that it weighs more then 13 lbs . I feel no extra pain or anything, but should i call the doctors office? Has other done this as well and were okay? If not what happened. Just would like to know. Thanks all Cindy

It sure couldn't hurt to call his answering service. Describe what happened and how you're feeling. My Dr. calls back in a snap. I dumped yesterday, my first time and there was blood visible - not alot but enough to concern me. I called the service and heard back from him within 10 minutes. I love my Dr., he's the best. Let us know how you're feeling. AND don't do that again until you're cleared. Kit

Was it the whole chair or just one of the legs? That can make a real difference. Don't try vacuming though or even moping with mop! I was amazed the tummy muscles mopping uses! And yes it is very easy to pick up something without thinking!

Mmmmm, I didnt know you cant pick up anything heavier than 5lbs??? My understanding is nothing heavier than 20lbs?? If thats the case, I'm screwed because I carried a couple of laptops around my third week back at work. I hope I didnt give myself a hernia!!! Marlize

You guys, she had OPEN bypass. That might be why? I know I can't lift anything heavier than 25 pounds with Lap RNY until after the fourth week. That was today. And I am still scared to lift anything! lol I am sure you will be okay, unless you start noticing pain or bleeding. Jus****ch out, and take care.
