Weak Legs...

Anybody else having problems with their legs? Mine are so weak that I've had to rent a wheelchair to go on outings with my family. I'm thanking God that I finally feel well enough to venture out, but even just hanging around the house doing normal things makes me SO weak. By the end of the day, and I mean a very "taking it easy" kinda day, my legs are trembling and feel like they will buckle at any moment. They also feel that way if I'm up for more than 5 minutes at a time. It's really bothering me and I'm beginning to feel like I'll never get back to normal. Am I alone? Whining in Mississippi! HUGS! Kim- I haven't had weak legs-- but I know at the end of my first week back at work, I spent my entire Saturday sleeping (I am 5 weeks out). If it is really bothering you, give your doctor a call-- you might be low on some vitamins. Good luck!

Andrea, I'm thinking that might have something to do with it, but not sure what to do. I've added B12 sublinguals(sp?) to my vitamins, but it's not working yet. I lost half of my blood supply during surgery, and had a blood transfusion while in the hospital the second time with pneumonia but I wonder if they gave me enough? They are stingy with the transfusions these days. LOL I've also been told (today) that pneumonia can make you feel this way, so maybe that's it? I go to the surgeon on Thursday, so I'll DEFINATELY be talking to him then! THANKS! Kimberly

Hey Kim, I forgot about this yesterday when we were talking. Do you reckon you need to take extra Potassium? That affects your legs. Luv ya, Sue 273/261/224/150

The thought has crossed my mind. I've added bananas to my diet, and believe it or not, they don't make me dump! WOOHOO!! I ADORE them! I am going to blend them into my protein shakes and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice! Love ya! - my partner in crime! **evil laugh** HUGS! Kimberly

I'm not sure if my legs are weak, but everytime I stand up, I get cramps in both my calves. I hate it, and it's painful. Not sure what it's about...

Your problem definatley sounds like a lack of potassium or dehyrdation. Try eating some bananas and make sure you are drinking enough, or talk to the doc about a potassium supplement. I hate those cramps - they are the worst! I hope you get better soon! HUGS Kimberly

Ashley As a nurse I'm going to offer this advise--call your Doctor, it may be like everyone said dehdration but it could be a blood clot too. This is no laughing matter--- get it checked out ASAP. Let me know how you make out.. Good Luck Lori M

Yes Ma'am.....I'm drinking as I type. I've duct taped a straw to my mouth! LMAO --- Thinking of purchasing those ridiculous hats you see the drunk guys wearing at baseball games that hold 2 drinks on either side and you just sip away. LMAO - wouldn't that be a hoot? HMMMMM - maybe a good idea! LOL HUGS Kimberly
