Lets all get to know each other a bit and CELEBRATE ALL THE WONDERFUL CHANGES WE WILL BE GOING THROUGH and the best part is we will be going through it with others who can REALLY understand what it means to us. And get those pic in people..it's alway nice to put a face to the name Today is the weekly Sunday weigh-in. Hey ladies ! Sounds like everyone is doing great. I had surgery on July 11th and I'm down 35 pounds . I think it's just now starting to sink in that I am actually loosing weight and it's going to keep coming off . I was so afraid I would be one of the few the surgery did not work for. I'm glad to be wrong . Take care . alena

surgery date 7/1/05 starting weight 263 pounds last week 217.5 today 213.5 pounds (almost -50 lost) I'm eating too many carbs- i can eat bread- makes me a little concerned that i'm eating too many crackers or slices of toast- i should just keep it out of the house- but i have a 2 year old and a dh so- it will take will power. i basically can eat everything and anything. (eggs get stuck all the time- so i stay away from scrambled eggs- boiled eggs i can do though... walking 2-3 miles a day (sometimes 1 mile) but majority of days it's 3 miles. water intake - i need to get up - right now it's only about 4-5 cups. vitamins i do well remembering... isn't it weird- i see the -50 pounds and i think i should be doing better- but anyone else i would be like- 50 pounds- you're crazy- you're doing great!! stop being so hard on yourself I wish i could lose 50 pounds in 7 weeks.. but i feel like my will power isn't there- because i eat so many crackers etc... so i know what i need to work on.. almost 2 months out- you would think i would've lost more than 50 pounds in 2 months? uhm... jennifer

You're doing wonderful! Fifty is super! Question, how long does it take you to walk three miles? I am doing the treadmill at the ymca and walking about 3.3mph but I see that many are walking at 4.0. Do you know your speed? I wonder if I should try to go faster but it is hard. Pam

Ok...I am starting to hate these weigh ins. I think I have lost less than anyone else on the boards! However, I am trying to focus on the long term-- so I know this weight is going away! I am going to feel better and be fit! And maybe if I am a slower looser I will have less loose skin. OK here goes- My sunday weigh in... Surgery date 7/26/05 (one month in 5 days!) Post op loss 16 lbs. Linda PS I tried taking my own picture this week-- let's just say that it didn't work. I will have the hubby or kids do it for me soon.

Surgery date: 255 Today: 225 Slowed down to about -2 pounds a week, but hey, down is down, right?
