Scale won't budge
Weighed myself today. It is the same old same old......209 or 210. I am starting to get sick of this. It never changes but a few ounces one way or the other. Why aren't I losing? I am getting under a 1000 cals a day. I wrote everythign down yesterday and all looked fine. I've started fitday and looks good. Am I doomed to not lose?
Four and a half weeks out and 21 pounds.
Pam
i'm 7 weeks out- eating way under 1000 cals- WAY- what type of food are you eating? and how much- some people swear that some people have to UP their calorie intake. you are a "lightweight" and lightweights lose slower- not as much to lose i guess.
are you getting all of your water in (no caffeine) are you exercising- maybe KICK IT UP A NATCH.. (i try and walk about 2-3 miles a day- i'm 7 weeks out- from 263 to 213 today)
taking your vitamins???
just relax- it will happen.. also- a more positive attitude-
YOU ARE WORTH IT- YOU CAN DO IT- YOU ARE SPECIAL- YOU DESERVE THIS...
also- have you taken your measurements- sometimes people lose body mass (inches) first- then the scale catches up... I seem to lose nothing for days- then BAM- 3-4 pounds will come off over night- i've lost 9 3/4 inches from my stomach - IN SEVEN WEEKS!!! went from a tight size 30 to can fit into size 20 today... IN SEVEN WEEKS- week 3 through 4 1/2 were insane for me- didn't lose a pound- then i woke up one morning and lost 4-5 pounds-... just keep at it...
it will happen..

Thanks gals. Actually I usually am much more positive. It is just today i really expected to see some more loss, but, it will come, I am sure, sometime.
Maybe I should increase my fluids...good idea. I exercise a few times a week at the y and do the treadmill. I'll go this afternoon and do two miles.
I don't think inches are coming off either.....after my initial ones. My clothes fit the same for the last two weeks or so.
I have lost 21, I should be glad for that. I was thinking today that I feel much better with just that amount down.
Maybe today I'll do just liquid proteins.
Jennifer, you have done great! yOu should be feeling so good.....

Hi Hon,
Listen everybody is different. Some people lose faster than others and some slower. I had my surgery 3 weeks before my husband and he and I do and eat pretty much the same thing and he has lost alot more than me. But he's alot bigger than me too. I see the people who are larger than others lose the weight faster for some reason. Like that lady said you are a light weight and take your time you'll lose it sooner or later. Just keep doing what your doing. Remeber, protien first, then water and then food. good luck Cheri
P.S. I forgot excersize too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Pam,
We had our surgeries on the same day!! I understand that you're feeling frustrated. I've lost 26 pounds and was hoping for me. When I start to feel disappointed, I realize that 26 pounds is still a good amount, and I couldn't have lost this much weight so quickly on my own. I also realize that 26 pounds amounts to over two and one half ten-pound bags of potatoes. That helps me put it in perspective. Be patient and stay positive. The weight loss will come. Keep us posted on your progress.
Diana
Hi Diana, thanks for the reply. I hadnn't thought about the potato bags but had thought about other things. I know that twenty six is a lot of pounds!! YOu're doing great. I am at 23 today and hope it will move down some more soon.
I've been really tired the last few days. Im not sure why but hope it will pass.
Pam
I know how you feel too! I got on the scale tonight and it was several pounds higher than this morning. I know it is probably a fluke but it is discouraging. I just want it to move.
When I see people that knew I had the surgery I feel like they are looking at me wondering why I am not shrinking. It is just my imagination I am sure, but, I do feel that way. It makes me kind of uncomfortable.
