Anyone feel like rockin out?

Hey guys I have a question for you if you don't mind. How are you feeling/felt at 3 weeks out? Would you feel like going to a concert? I have tickets to a concert of my favorite band of all time but I will be just 3 weeks out of surgery. I am having an open revision to a DS. Will I feel like going? Thanks for any advice and sharing experiences! P.S. the tickets are for the foo fighters and weezer!!!!! ~LaKeitha

I am exactly 3 weeks out today. And I would feel up to a concert- A- if I could drink water during and B- if I didn't get too over heated. For some reason (probably because it is SO hard to get enough water in every day) I feel really yucky when I get overheated. And that is kind of hard to avoid since I live in FL where the heat index is 107 this week! Of course, I had a lap RNY-- so maybe someone who has had open would answer! Linda

Yeah go if you feel up to it! Bring water with you though. Don't jump around too much. I'm going to Kelly Clarkson concert tomorrow night (not so much rock though, ya know?)!

I had my surgery 3 weeks ago today too and I would have no problem going to a concert or anything else for that matter. I work 12 hr shift and then exercise for an hour after so that's like 13 hrs going with no problems...the only thing is I do I sleep well. I practally pass out at the end of the day..lol Go have fun!! sounds like a great concert. Amy

Amy, I am also a nurse with 12 hour shifts! lol, I have only done ONE 12 hour shift (yesterday), and I practically died! HOw are you exercising after work? You couldn't possibly be a med-surg nurse! lol Sorry, off topic.

Hey Cristi Actually I'm an ICU nurse...running all day long. Dang sick people!..lol So far I've done 4 shifts and was only too tired once to exercise after. Take care, Amy
