yes Maria its college classes. I have 3 semesters left and I have about 6 mths to decide if I am going to go on to law school or not.. Right now I am finishing my BA in Special education teaching with an elm. certificate as well. But I really want to practice law, but not sure whether to take more time and years and hours away from my son.. It requires alot of studying and although he will start school that same year and I will go during the day, I just think it might not be good for him...

At Target, you can buy those South Beach Pre-made portable meals, not the frozen ones but like those lunchables but for dieters. Anyway I was out last week and STARVING so I purchased the South Beach Chicken Ceasar Wrap - it was EXCELLENT. It comes with two little whole wheat wraps, diced chicken, shredded parmesan cheese, lite ceasar dressing and a Sugar-free Jello cup. I think there were like 25 grams of protein in the whole meal. I was only able to eat one small wrap with the chicken and then I munched on the leftover diced chicken. Man, I felt like I had rejoined the real world.

Kitty- My husband swears by that South Beach Meal!!! I am afraid of the tortilla! I had my surgery on 7/8, just a few days before you. Did you tolerate the tortilla well? I always keep low carb (2 grams), 50 cal tortillas at home and skads of chicken for my kids. I guess I could try it here first, just in case In the past, I have taken the tortilla and used a cookie cutter to cut out circles. I bake these for 8-10 minutes and use them like tortilla chips. Thanks for the heads up!! Have a good day!! Anjanette 242/228/198/160

I had my surgery on July 20 and my nutritionist said that the soft tacos at taco bell were fine and their tortilla shells are probably gooeyer than the south beach ones. Ive had the south beach ones and it worked out great for me. I could only eat part of one at the time. Pam

hey one, you know one of my good friends who had this surgery like almost 3 months ago eats a crunchy taco with meat and cheese only on it most the time she said and that the crunchy taco did better than the soft shelled due to the fact they do not disolve they just gum up in ur tummy and sit there.. so maybe you all should try those when you are out.. i have had a south beach one before surgery and i was not much on it.. kinda tasted um like crap sorry that is what i thought they tasted like.. bread is kinda an issue with me.. at times.. not always but sometimes it feels like its just in there sitting waiting on company or something to come visit hahah.. so i do it gets some water to help flu**** out.. that might be bad but i can't take it just staying down there making me feel like a lead brick is there.. well alrighty girls /guys peace out..

Ramona- I had to tell you that tonight I tried the South Beach Meal replacement bar-chocolate crisp. It was so dang delicious!!! It was like eating a chocolate rice crispy bar. Nutrition info: 200 cals, 19 grams protein (don't fall down!!) 4 fiber. I thought at first that the cals were high, but then it was a meal replacement bar and not a "snack bar". I will definately keep these on hand as a "grab and go" item. Even my husband liked it!! (uh-oh!!!) Anjanette

Hi Anjanette - I could only tolerate one of those little tortilla things. Got most of it down before I knew that I was done. It kind of sat there a while but I had no reaction to the new food in my pouch. Another kind of chip you can try are Pepperoni Chips. Microwave Turkey Pepperoni Slices between a couple of paper towels for not quite 2 minutes, let them cool and munch away. That was a tip given to me at one of the support groups. Have you really lost 82 pounds since July 8? That's amazing. Congratulations. Kitty

Hi Kitty! I am afraid to try the tortilla! I don't want to gum up the works!!! Thanks for the tip about the pepperoni slices!! I love another way to get the protein in. Speaking of which, just an FYI in case you are interested: I tried a Enlighented smoothie from Jamba Juice (50% less cal, sugar and carbs)The smoothie has seven grams of protein in it already, but I added 2 protein boosts for another 14 grams for a total of 21 grams in 14 ozs. It was delicious and it didn't bother me at all (no dumping etc). I haven't lost 82, but 44........hhm the numbers when I post are beginning, presurg, present and goal. That is why there are so many. Have a great day Kitty!! Anjanette

Kitty - I will tell you that you really should watch the sodium in those wraps. I can not remember the exact amount now but I know that there was more than 50% of your daily allowance of sodlum. In general those are horrible for your health. Just a little warning. Nancy
