SOUTH BEACH DIET HIGH PROTEIN BARS
GUYS I HAD TO LET ALL KNOW THAT DON'T KNOW. I FOUND SOME SOUTH BEACH DIET HIGH PROTEIN CEREAL BARS LAST NIGHT AT WAL-MART AND OH MY GOODNESS THEY ARE SO GOOD AND THEY REALLY ARE... I GOT THE CINNAMON RAISIN KIND.. I OPENED ONE IN THE STORE BEFORE BUYING TWO BOXES OF THEM.. YOU GET LIKE 8 I THINK FOR $2.96. ANYWAYS, THEY HAVE 10 GRAMS OF PROTEIN IN THEM AND THEY ARE 1.23 OZ. PER BAR WITH 5 GRAMS OF FAT AND KINDA BAD 15 GRAMS OF CARBS.. ALONG WITH 7 GRAMS OF SUGARS.. SO, IF YOU WILL EITHER SPLIT IT 3 WAYS AND EAT IT OR EAT HALF AT THE MORN AND HALF IN THE EVENING THEN THERE IS 10 GRAMS OF PROTEIN YOU CAN GET IN. NOW I HAVE ATE IT AND SPLIT IT HALF AND HALF BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE SUGAR BUT I HAVE NOT DUMPED FROM IT AT ALL. SO TRY THEM SEE HOW YOU LIKE THEY ALSO, HAVE TWO OTHER FLAVORS, BUT I GOT THESE AND YUMMY THEY ARE...IT WILL KNOCK YOUR SUGAR CRAVINGS THATS FOR SURE...

I also just came from Walmart where I found South Beach Meal Replacement bar! They, too are wonderful with 19 grams of protein 5 g fiber and Splenda. I can't wait to try it. I also bought a Pria bar which has 10 grams of protein. It was caramel chocolate crunch. I am about 5 weeks post op and I ate it very slowly chewing every bite to death!! It was delicious and I didn't have a problem eating it. Try those too!!

I found the South Beach bars near all of the other protein bars and diet aids in Walmart. They don't say Splenda on the package, but look at the label-Sucralose is the chemical name for splenda. The Pria bars are 170 cals, 10 grams of protein, 2 fiber. It is alot of cals for the protein but sometimes it beats a protein shake.
I also got Hershey's SmartZone bar. 16 grams of protein, 200 cals, 3 fiber. Get this........crunchy peanut butter. This one I am taking to the doc next week before I eat it...........just in case peanut butter gets stuck!!
Try some different one and see which you like. They had a berry crunch bar that looked good to, but again, I was afraid to try it without talking to the doc.

i was looking at the protien bars a few days ago but wasn't sure if i should try them yet. i haven't been taking my protien shakes so i think i might just have to stop at walmart tomorrow morning and get a couple. i'm so gona loose my hair, i suck when it comes to my protien. i try to get some meat in but it's just pieces a day. thanks so much for the heads up on the bars!! maria
well I am not going to lie I do not do protein shakes not yet anyways. I have gotten some slimfast low carb and it has like 20 grams of protein i think in it.. maybe less right now my brain is fried with numbers from studying for my test tomorrow.. anyways the bars are great and you need to get your vitamins and your protein in .. Eggs are a good ways with fat free cheese helps build up protein but trust me I know.. I rarely meet my protein for the day..

i tried eggs but didn't sit to well with me. no dumping but made me feel yucky. since i was prego, i got grossed by eggs. then after i had my daughter by c section i tried eggs and i almost choaked on them and really don't care for them anymore. anyways, so do you have peanut butter, i haven't tried that yet. maria
