Drinking?

I had my surgery on July 26,05. I was just wondering if I was the only one who misses drinking? Not alcohol (sp) just drinking water. I am trying to get the water in. However it is so hot. I just miss that nice cold tall glass and down it. I am ALWAYS thristy! The Doctors offfice said that I am getting plenty. But why am I so damn Thirsty? Will this get better? Any one have any thoughts. Thanks for letting me vent. Donna

Hi Donna, I had my surgery on the 26th as well. You are not alone, I very much miss being able to drink a tall glass of ice cold water, rather than these little sips we have to take. But I am told it gets better with time and soon we'll be able to drink much more like we used to. Good luck and hang in there! Amy

Me too. When Im thirsty i just want to gulp it down. It SUCKS!! But, if I do, i feel yucky. And I soooo miss the ice cold glass of water. Very cold water doesnt sit well with me. I can only drink it chilled. Cant wait til that goes away. Dont worry, it soon will pass.....

I feel thirsty all of the time also... I constantly have something to drink with me but I just cant chug it like I used too especially my sweet tea...

Tonya, can you share your sweet tea recipt? I am druling (sp) for some tea. Thanks for the support. Wont it be nice when we can chug. A chugging party!! Donna

I am a month today and I hate water. I try to force myself to drink it so I won't get dehydrated. I don't have any problems with ice chip jus****er. And the other day when I had to have some test ran at the hospital I had to drink 23oz of that nasty dye in an hour. My doctor was surprised but I felt sick. My bf says if I can drink that stuff in an hour I should be able to drink water but I can'****er now has a funny taste to it. I loved water b4 and drunk it like I was in the desert.I don't know what to do.

Tasha, I feel for you on the dye issue. Yuck. I can't imaging! I hope that the test went well so you don't have to do that again. I still love my water. I was told that propel is good. Maybe you will like that. Wish you well!! Thanks, Donna

after sugery water taste funny to me too. i have to have a specific bottled water or i can't have it. at first i never tried cold water cuz i thought it would make me feel sick but in fact, if the water is just chilled, i can only sip it. if i put tons of ice, i can chug a little and i can take in more amout. it's soooo weird i know. i hope you all get you water in!!!! maria
