I never really did the pureed stage but I just wanted to say NICE NAME!
=-) Tessa Butch
Hey Tessa, I had to do the pureed food for about 3 weeks. I used a lot of refried beans w/beef n low fat cheese too, but you can leave off the beef if you can't have it. Soft scrambled eggs with I can't believe it's not butter sprayed on them are good. I would sometimes add a slice of cheese for extra protein. I also supplemented with protein supplements from bariatriceating.com. They are the only ones I tried that really taste good & they have great service. They also have them where you can buy samples to try intead of having to buy a large quantity that you may not like. I liked the chocolate mint & cafe mocha the best. I mix them with ho****er like hot chocolate. You have to put just a little water at first & make a paste & stir til smooth then add the rest of the water or it won't mix up well. I used cream of wheat made with 1% milk, but you can make it with water. I have to take lactaid with it since surgery due to lactose intollerance now though. Steamed yellow squash worked really well for me also. If you can have fish, I had grilled talapia(fish) with creole seasoning & I can't believe it's not butter, with mashed potatoes or pureed with the steamed squash to add moisture. Soups are a good thing too. I don't like the canned ones but I made up some homemade ones that worked. Really, just about anything that will puree up in your blender will work is what I found out. Just add chicken broth to it or some other liquid to moisten & blend. Hope some of this helps. Good luck!
