Fatigue
Kitty-
Your going to think I am NUTS. But I swear this is true. Go walk- doesn't have to be fast. Just a small walk for about 10-15 minutes this first time. (or even just 1/4 of a block if that is all you can muster) You won't believe how much more energy you have.
At least that is how it was for me. I am now 17 days out. And I started taking walks around the block at about 10 days out.
It was REALLY hard the first time! I mean REALLY hard. I picked my "most awake an "up" time of day". Which wasn't much- I was dragging and sleeping a lot. And I just force myself to do it. I walked pretty slow- but I made it all the way around the block. I took my cell phone to call hubby if I had trouble. (No kidding) But I made it. And I was AMAZED... I felt so much more energized.
Now my step is more lively and yesterday I made it around two blocks!!! Yeah!
Anyway, I know it is probably the last thing you want to hear. But I swear you'll feel better.

Hi Kitty,
When I had my baby 9 years ago, I was bleeding out as well. I was close to a transfusion, but didn't get one (they even had the blood in the room). The fatigue from that was overwhelming. I didn't feel 'normal' again for a year. The loss of blood is so draining. I would imagine that you will feel better sooner since you were transfused, but it's still very hard on the body. I imagine it will take some time to heal. So, from my experience, what you are feeling seems normal with all you've been through.
I'm sorry you're going through it. I wish I could help.
Take care,
Lisa
Kitty,
Your surgery was the same day as mine!. I know exactly how you feel. I am still really tired. I get up go to work and when I get home I crash. I am taking 2 Bugs Bunny Sugar Free chewable vitamins a day. I struggle with my protein intake. Now that I am on solid foods I am getting a little more protein because I try to only eat meat, cheese, eggs ect.. Things that have alot of protein in them. My favorite right now is beef jerky. It has 27 grams of protein per serving. I can't eat a whole serving at a time but that's alot of protein. My surgery was Lap also. My doctor says that with the right amount of protein and liquids I should feel a little better each day. Hope you feel better soon.
