Hi Everyone. I can't believe it's been five weeks! I weighed in at my PCP doctor and I have lost a total of 32 pounds! So much has happened during my recovery period. The anxiety attacks I was having post op are gone, and I can sleep again. The most important thing is that I can walk. I have posted before about my accomplishment of walking but it is like a miracle to me. My husband is now walking with me and that's really great. We walk 2 miles every night. I just have this sense of freedom knowing that I can go places and do things that I haven't been able to do in a long time. My long scar is healing nicely and the small hole from the G tube is already closed. I am so happy. Best wishes to everyone. Joyce

Congrats on all your accomplishments. It has been way too hot here to walk outside, so I do what I can to get exercise inside. I will be hitting 2 weeks tomorrow and I am down 26 pounds. Feels gret to be able to look down and almost see my feet. LOL Well, again....CONGRATS!!!! Nickie

I know how you feel, I am down 38lbs and feel wonderful. I am no longer using my oxygen, and I can walk without my walker. I did have a set back with a blockage but they was opened and I feel wonderful. My surgery was July 5. Hope we all continue very well with our WL journey. Betty

Hi Joyce!! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well! I also had my 5 week weigh in today too and I have lost 54 pounds! I can't believe it but it's true. I'm so jealous that your G tube hole is healed!!! Mine is JUST starting to heal. My surgeon actually wants me come back in a month to make sure that it continues progressing. I think that it's because I need more protein. I haven't been able to eat much. The good news is that I have graduated from pureed foods today and right now I'm trying chilli from Wendy's and so far, it's pretty good!! Keep us posted! Tina

It's nice to hear updates from fellow July 6'ers. I weighed yesterday and I've lost 27 lbs. I had lap rny so my little scars are healing nicely. I feel good but easily fatigued because of anemia unrelated to the surgery. Back to work is one week from today, so I'm kicking back for now. Group Hug!
