How often does everyone weigh themselves?

Does everyone weight themselves once a week??????? I didnt know what I should do....Im almost afraid to do it. I had my first weigh in at my first post-op doctor appt (and I lost 17 lbs!!!! )., but was going to wait until my one month appt. before I weigh my self again. What does everyone else do?

Tiffany, I am planning to weigh once a week, but my scale doesn't match my doctor's. I am going to track what I weigh at his office as the "official weight" and keep a separate tally for what I weigh at home. When I go to the one month appt., I will see where I am. Linda

Not a good question for me, I am a "scale ho". I have to get on it everyday. No way I couldn't. I went through a week and half with no movement and one day I gained one lb. but all and all it's been ok. I know I shouldn't weigh this much, but I can't help myself. I AM WEAK.... Sue 273/261/230/140

HAHA SUE, I FEEL JUST LIKE YOU AND LETS SAY I AM ROMONA THE SCALE HO HAHAH.... I CAN'T HELP MYSELF I HAVE TO WEIGH EVERYDAY AND YOU GOT ALL THESE POST-OPS THAT ARE MONTHS AND YEARS INTO IT WARNING YOU NOT TO DO IT AND GUYS I SWEAR I WISHED I DID NOT HAVE SCALES BECAUSE I HAVE NOT LOST A LB IN ALMOST 2 WKS AND I AM WAY BEYOND BEING DISCOURAGED. LIKE I AM PISSED OFF, MAD AND NOT SURE WHAT IS THE DEAL.. I LOST 19LBS IN 9 DAYS AT MY DOCS OFFICE I LOST 24 LBS BUT I AM GOING BY MINE.. BUT IT IRKS TO SEE THEM SCALES NOT MOVE AFTER YOU GO AND HAVE YOUR TUMMY CHOPPED UP AND ALL THE FEELINGS YOU GET AND NOT ABLE TO EAT FREAKING CRAP BECAUSE YOU DUMP ON IT.. OKAY NOW I AM VENTING.. I WAS NOT SICK FOR THE FIRST 13 DAYS AND THEN BAM I DUMPED DID NOT KNOW THAT IS WHAT IT WAS BECAUSE I GOT THE HEAT WAVE, SWEATS, SHAKES AND LIGHT HEADED.. BUT NO PUKE AND REALLY NO BM'S WHICH I WISHED I COULD HAVE DAILY..ARGHHH THAT IS ANOTHER SUBJECT IN ITS OWN.. ANYWAYS NOW I HAVE TO BE REALLY CAREFUL BECAUSE EVEN CHICKEN OR THE A-1 I DON'T KNOW HAS CAUSED ME TO DUMP. LAST NIGHT I THOUGHT I WAS DYING FOR REAL. I PRAYED AND ASKED GOD TO TOUCH ME I WAS SO SICK IT WAS THE SICKEST I HAD BEEN. AND I ALSO, STARTED FOR ALL YOU LADIES OUT THERE ITS BEEN HELL AND I MEAN HELL. I NEVER BEEN IN SO MUCH PAIN.. ARIGHHHHHHH AGAIN.... ANYWAYS OKAY I THINK I WILL HUSH NOW.. ANYWAYS MY ADVICE DON'T BUY ANY SCALES AND DON'T WEIGH AT ALL NOT FOR LIKE A MONTH IF YOU GOT SELF CONTROL LIKE THAT BECAUSE I DONT AND I AM A SCALE HO AS SUE SAYS......

well i'm almost 3 weeks post and what i've done so far is weighed myself at my 1 week post apt and at 2 weeks i went to my gym and weighed in there because they have the same scale as my dr. i think once a week is good. i wouldn't do good everyday but lets see because i start the gym tomorrow and that all might change if i see i loose a lil everyday i work out, so i might get scale crazy. i haven't weighed myself in a week so lets hope at my dietician apt tomorrow morning i have lost at least 5 lbs the past week. i meet my trainer tomorrow afternoon so im excited for that too and i also go back to work so can you say LONG DAY!!!! take care all, maria

I am almost two weeks out and have not yet weighed. I am going to wait until I go to the doctor's office next week. Then I think I will weigh monthly! I am afraid of my reactions if the scale doesn't say what I think/want it should say!!! This was a great question by the way!!

I weight everyday. I know they say not to, but I'm too nosey. I don't let the numbers affect me because I'm seeing physical changes.

I am weak and weight myself everyday, even though they tell me once a week. I find if I get all my liquid and protein in, I loose more. But if I short myself on liquid and protein intake, I stay the same or gain. I do not let it bother me, I just think it is interesting.
