Help I am Dizzy

I woke up dizzy this morning has anyone else experienced this I feel awful. I think it might be because I did not drink ver many fluids yesterday but I am not sure? I am about 3 1/2 weeks post op. Should I call my doctor? Thanks Tami

Hi Tami~ I am only a week post-op and I had a little dizzy episode the other day. It didn't last long but, I did call my friend (who had surgery like 5 years ago) and she said the culprit was dehydration! Have you been getting all of your fluids in? It is so important ~ and so difficult too (I'm with you!) It probably wouldn't hurt to call your Dr. just to verify. ~Robin

dehydration is what I suspected because yesterday I did not drink much... I know big No No then I was outside watching the kids in the pool for like an hour and it was still pretty hot. I just wanted some input from others so Thanks soooo much!

Hi Tami, I would take Robins' advise and call your doc, but it really is dehydration. just sip, sip, sip. I am almost 4 weeks out and I still get the dizzies so I try and up my fluids. Good luck, and hang in there! Nancy

I had my surger the day before yours and three days ago the EXACT thing happened to me. It lasted two days and I thought sure my electrlites must be out of whack. So I went to the doctor and had all the blood work done. It came out just fine. I was NOT dehydrated. He thinks I just had a virus. I was very relieved. I am fine now. If itkeeps up maybe you should call your doctor. It CAN be a sign of dehydration or low potassium. Sandy

Dehydration. or low iron. i am having the same problem. It is SO hard to get the liquids in!
