Hi Robin. I had my surgery the 28th also. I had lost about 3 pounds a couple days just before surgery. So, I am down 12 pounds from the morning of surgery. I haven't checked on my BMI and my BP has always been very, very low. I am really excited to be loosing!!! I am was allowed to eat pureed foods the day I left the hospital!! Isn't that amazing!?! I seem to eat the same couple of things over and over and over again. Protein shakes, cottage cheese, jello, pureed chicken with mashed potatoes. I can't wait for some REAL food ... healthy food but REAL food! Good luck and keep up the good work!! Shellie

I am a 28er.... I do not weigh until Aug 16 (first preop appt). I don't have a scale at home so I will just have to wait. I can see that I've lost weight. My face is quite a bit thinner. I see the loss in my arms and legs. I'm excited. I'm still on full liquids until next Thursday. I am TIRED of liquids! I am craving cottage cheese like crazy, and I want to eat the baked potato soup at Cheddars Resturant so bad! I will just have to wait! The good thing is that I'm not hungry. This makes enduring the liquid stage possible. I have not had any pain since the day of surgery ...except some topical pain at the drain site. I started feeling like myself at one week out. Now I have more energy than I've had in probably 6 years. The bad thing is I can't do much since I'm still healing. I am not driving yet.. dr said to wait two weeks! Ugh.. this is difficult. I want to get out of this house! I am taking 8 weeks off work .... probably more time than I need but I'm going to enjoy the time to rest and relax, and I am already planning some minor projects around the house. Take care, Becky
