r u looking for protein products???
Hi all, I will be one-year post op on the 25th of this month and i only wish i knew about these protein products back then.
My husband and I decided that we needed to make more money (both being educators) so he decided to try to work from home...he filled out a couple surveys online and the next day this company called HERBALIFE contacted him.
If you haven't heard of them, they sell inner and outer nutritional products. For the next 2 weeks he received step by step instructions on how to set up the business, he talks to his "coaches" on a daily basis and he has finally gotten this started...
...but that's not what this post is about...before surgery I tried all kinds of protein drinks, all of which were disgusting, I practically had to gag them down after surgery, this was not any fun.
While I was scanning thru the Herbalife product brochure, I saw a page on PROTEIN SNACKS!!!
I was so thrilled to see it, but then again jealous that I didnt find it earlier. By the way, I still have an occasional protein shake and Herbalife's tastes great...let me give you a list of the drinks/snacks they have and how much protein they contain and i'll give you the price (which is comparative to all other protein shakes) and then i will give you a web address where you can fill out your info and my husband or myself will get in touch with you, only if you feel like this is something you'd like to try!
protein drink mix (w/ milk; VANILLA/CHOCO.) 23 grams $28/14 servings
beverage mix packets (w/ water; peach-mango/wild berry) ??grams (i will find out) $11/7 servings

I'm so excited for those of you who are about to begin your new life, I would do it again if I had the chance. GOD bless you all!! If you know someone else who could use this info, by all means, PASS IT ON!!!

What a scam! I can't believe Heralife is still around. What a shame to actually go on this board to try to make money on people you have come to trust. This was on one of those shows like Primetime that they investigated and found out it was one of the biggest con games in America. It's like those pieramids (sp) of the 70's. If the original poster actually believes in this product, do some more research. You are making someone else rich by conning others. I thought this kind of self promoting was against the rules of this board!
I remember searching for a decent tasting protein drink when I was a pre-op. I asked several OH members if they had any suggestions. I am, by no means, trying to make money from anyone, I am just informing other pre-ops/post-ops of another protein drink...I was straight forward in my posting, I did not hide prices, I did say that it was a business oppurtunity for my family and others who were interested...I do use the products myself, and if it appeared like i was "scamming" anyone, i personally apoligize...I am willing to help anyone who may be interested, HERBALIFE is a great company...when you buy their products, I agree, someone is profitting, but isn't someone profitting when any product is purchased???
I stand by my original post!!

Hi celey...thanks for the info...I have used Herbalife as one of my pre WLS diets and did lose some weight on it...but as for the protein shakes I am keeping my fingers crossed that after surgery I will still like them because they are some of the better ones I have tried...I have tried most of the other protein products they have...the bars arent too bad just seem a little thick to me....not too much on the soy nuts though...they were kinda bland....but only time will tell what I can handle after surgery but I'm sure I will be talking to my Herbalife lady for some more info too...and as far as making money...every product we BUY makes someone money...may as well be someone we know....have a good day..KIM
Hey Celey,
Ignore that rude post. I can't believe they actually said that to you. Anyhow, you are correct. Someone makes money off of every product. That does not mean I am gonna scream at the owner of Wal-mart just because he's making money off of me.
I say let the little guys make the money!!!
You go gurl!
