Two Weeks Today--Yeah!!

Hello Everybody, I had my surgery on July 20, and it's officially two weeks today! I'm doing pretty well, thought I haven't been as active as some of you. I'm so impressed with the walkers! I tend to poop out easily, and since last night have started having a pain in my left side. That was a little disappointing, since I haven't been in pain. Perhaps I overdid it a little. I'm just happy that I haven't had any nausea. Hooray! I had lost 12 pounds in the week after my surgery, and am not sure how much since then. I think I have lost more because my "wings" under my arms seem to be bigger. Yikes! Well, the good thing is, I can probably glide over to work in the morning instead of drive. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and wish everybody success and happiness on their journey. Hugs to all! Diana

Hi Diana, Isn't it great to think we have made the biggest step of our lives, and everyday will be a new adventure. I am three weeks out and I still every once in a while get that pain in the left side. I believe it may be gas Oh well hope you are well, Nancy

That pain in your left side is normal. The left side is where the biggest lap hole was put to insert the camera. To sew it up they put the stitch in the muscle inside of you. That is why it hurts so bad. And if you are unlucky like I was, you got 2 stitches and it was 10000 times worse. I am 3 and half weeks out and now have no pain at all on that side. Thanks sue I was wondering why the left side hurt so much. I knew it was partly due to the camera however I didnt know about he stitch regarding the muscle. I am about 3 weeks post op and the pain in that area is lessening...I am so greatfull. I will be glad when the pain is gone and I can really begin my exercise regimen...for now walk walk walk. I am two weeks out and the main problem I have had is gas. I was never bothered with gas in my lifetime but making up for it now. Where the port has been sewn is a little tender but getting better each day. Good luck to all of you and any feedback is appreciated.
