Swelling question?

How long does this swollen belly last? Between the swelling and the binder, none of my clothes seem to fit around my waist! It is quite annoying! Am I the only one having this issues? My clothes really did fit the day before surgery - lol! I had surgery on the 27th so I am a week out today! Thanks - Stacey!!

Hi Stacey, That was one of my questions too. I am 3 weeks out yesterday, and just today I think my stomach is starting to go down a little. I swear I look like I am pregnant. My clothes are loser but because my stomach has been so swollen I have to watch what I wear. I do not know if that helps. Tami

My stomach is swollen and I had surgery on the 07-13. I told my bf that my stomach looks like a butt. Because it is swollen around the surgery site. I think I have been losing most of my weight in legs. Well one leg. I can tell my left leg is slimmer but my right leg still looks huge to me.

OK I'm holding my belly and laughing again. When looking at my stomach I guess it does look like a butt! Now the leg thing is harder to picture. Ok let me see if this is right you look like a butt on one thin leg and one huge. UMMM INTERESTING VERY INTERESTING. God Bless! You sound like a lot of fun. Cil

Hi Stacey, My surgery was 7/11/05 and I was quite swollen after surgery, but rest assure it will subside! A friend e mailed me after surgery and said "how are you and you little belly?" And I wrote back that she wouldn't believe it, but I am bigger now than when I went into the hospital. Hope everything else is well! Nancy

I am so looking forward to a "little belly!" It is crazy but my stomach too is bigger than when I went in! I want my clothes to fit. I think I would feel better overall if I could put some clothes on and feel decent. Anyway - things are on the mend and I know the "good" days are coming! Stacey

Stacey, I actually got into a pair of shorts today that a week ago would have not fit around my belly. I thought when I woke up looked less swollen and the shorts just proved it YEAH!. I am 22 days out now had surgery on 7/12. I know everyone is different but hopefully yours will go down soon to. Tami
