Surgury the 20th, 13 pounds down now back up to 10 pounds down. What's up? You would think the pounds would be melting away. I know all are different but you would think anyone that is on the type of diet I am for two weeks would see more of a reduction. Before my surgury if I did south beach for a little while I could get down more than this in the first two weeks. Anyone having a time like me? Pam

Hi Pam, I had surgery on the 12th I lost 20lbs within the first 10 days and now I can not get the scale to move. I too am getting really discouraged. Since my 1oth day post op I have only lost 3-4lbs it flucuates. I am even walking on the treadmill daily. They say it is normal so just be patient.

Twenty is great though! But, I understand the frustration of the scale not moving in days! My friend who had hers done on the 20th also lost 20 as of today! Pam W

You're not alone, I had surgery on the 13th and weighed myself yesterday and only lost 10 lousy pounds. Your body is in shock, I'm just now starting to get some decent calories in and the pounds should start melting off. At least I hope so. Good luck.

I am two weeks out and only five lbs the first week. I weigh tomorrow for the second week. I was thrilled and now I am wondering if I am not losing fast enough. My theory is if you do what you are supposed to be doing then the weight will come off. I carry this book around like it is a bible and I havae read it so much and intend to read some more.
