Don't get discouraged - Everyone is different
I had Lap RNY on 7/20. The first time I read this message board I got really freaked out because I wasn't at the same place as some other's who had a similar surgery date, but then I had to sit back and realize that everyone is so different both physically and emotionally. Plus, all of our doctor's post op instructions are extremely different. Some of us are on liquids, some on soft foods with differing levels of energy. I love reading everyone else's experiences, but I have to keep in mind they are just that, other's experiences.
How true that is. Everyone is so differant! I had mine on 7/26/05. Yesterday I had a mini break down. My scale still has not moved! I calmed down after my husband told me to relax. Everyone is differant. Some may be swelling for awhile, some may be better straite from the hospital. I have to keep myself in check also. I am doing better at it.

I admit that I have found myself not really coming to this board because I did not feel that I was doing as well as others and smoking some others out of the water. I realized that I would drive myself crazy if I tried to compare myself to others so I took a little break from this board and now come with a deep breathe and think before I react
I wish everyone nothing but the best!!! Everyone here deserves it
Have a great day,
Nancy
Nancy,
Don't you dare stop writing on this board I look for your post all the time. I enjoy what you have to say and share. You make a lot of good points. We have all got to remember this is not a race, it's something thats totally individualized and it should be. We are all different shapes and sizes and we are all going to change the way the good Lord wants us too. Our body's are so different Nancy and we'll change at our own paces. So please don't stop posting like I said "I" look forward to it.
