Non-stop major burping? Surgery 7/15.

Anyone dealing with this? Will someone please tell me it will go away?

Are you taking anything for it? I take chewable gas-x (berry flavored YUM) and it works like a charm, my gas has subsided in the last week. Good luck

Hi Michele, I can't tell you when it will go away but I have to believe it will. I get burpie when I drink water! Any other liquid does okay bu****er makes me nauseous so I burp. It's better than the alternative though. I used to drink nearly a gallon of water everyday pre-op but now I really struggle to get in half a gallon. The only thing I could recommend is to try to figure out if any one thing is causing it and cut it out for a few days or a week. Of course if it's water, you're stuck, just like me! Hang in there, it will get better! Dj

For a week after my surgery the gas and burping were painful. But my burping has really slowed down the past two days. I think it helps when I concentrate on my sipping and not allow any air to go down with my fluids. Your situation may not be like mine though, and I hope for your sake the burping just disappears today! Pam M

Everytime I take a drink I swallow air. It is making me insane. I mean... come ON.... it is not as if I NEVER sipped a drink before. I didnt' USED to swallow air. Sheesh.
