lost ONE pound in 1st pre op! HELP!

Hi, Has this ever happened to anyone?????????? I only lost one pound in the first week pre op. I am on fluids. My doctor said it will all level off... I'm so disgusted! El

The fluid issue is definitely a factor. I had only lost 1 pound when I came home from the hospital, but it quickly improved as I shed fluid. It is important to drink more. Good Luck Elizabeth, kimmer

Yes - in fact, it was worse for me! I gained 13 pounds of fluid in the hospital, and it took about a week for it to go away!! So at my first post-op appointment, I was still a pound heavier than I was pre-op!!! I am now down 16 pounds though...
