It's good to be home!
Vicky, I had my surgery on the 12th. So far I have had no problems whatsoever. I have already lost 30 pounds according to my scales. Hopefully, the doctor's will agree. I mainly drink an unflavored whey from a GNC healthfood store. I have been adding it to skim milk and 2 spoonsful of sf Nestles Quick or to the Walmart brand sf drink mixes. It lets me get in about 46 g of protein a day. I am glad to hear you are doing better now with the hydration. I keep 4 ounces of the drink in an insulated cup by my computer and nurse it for an hour than I get up and walk some laps around my house. I guess it is working. I go back to see the surgeon for my one month check up on Aug. 8. Best wishes, Alice
Hi Vicky,
I had my surgery on July 18 and I came home on the 20th. I feel like you....sore but doing ok. I finally took out my post op pain pump which didnt hurt at all. I was able to actually get a shower today...that felt great. I was tired of washing up...lol. I have been on liquids for the last week but as of yesterday I couldnt take it anymore so I started tryin alittle cottage cheese...I have been feeling so much better, although I know I am not getting all my water in..its just hard. Anyway...hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Vicki -
I had surgery on the 18th and came home on the evening of the 19th. It's tough, but I'm getting in all my liquids and protein - it takes all day though. Still a little sore on my belly - just under where my bra sits - but only took a pain pill the first day I was home. More to help me sleep than anything. I see my dr. on Tuesday for my one week follow up and am excited to see what the scale says and am hoping he releases me to drive again.
Had a little excitement today!! Two of my bracelets fell off! Totally wasn't expecting it, they'd both fit fine before surgery, then today talking with a friend, I moved my hand, and felt it slip off. So, something must be happening.
Cheers,
Lynn
