Hello... fellow surgery twins! I am wondering how everyone is doing? Are you getting more nervous? I am.... I had a big crying jag last night. It doesn't help that I am PMSing right now too. I know I am doing the right thing....just getting the jitters! How's everyone else doing? Linda

Hey Lin I am sort of freaking out - I do am a bit premenstrual and had a bowl of mac and cheese!!! Now I feel awful. I cant sleep and yet there is some sort of calm over me at the same time knowing that this is going to work! I hope and pray to God!! I am starting clear liquid tomorrow, driving my daughter to my parents (6 hours away) and doing a bowel prep on both sunday and monday! Get all that s&(t out of there so there is less hope for a gaseous explosion! I bought some men's hanes tshirts for next week while i am lying around the house (it is really hot here in NJ, almost like FL!) Good luck and I will talk to you soon! Best of luck on surgery day! Love jayme

Linda, I am anxious about the surgery, but I am very calm about my decision. I told my husband this is the only time in 35 years that I have seen a light at the end of the tunnel for weight loss. I have done all the various diets over and over. Like most of us, I regained the weight and more. This time I am convinced this can be a permanent solution. I am looking forward to being in control of food instead of food controlling me. I feel I have been guided in this decision. So many things have fallen into place in the last year that made this decision possible. The surgeons here are top notch, and they are here--not 150 miles away like they were last year. Hang in there all of you surgery twins. I know we are doing the right thing, and we will not regret this decision. Linda

Hello everybody!! I am a little bit nervous, but not as bad as I thought I would be. My mood swings have been pretty good the last couple of days. I think that has been because I have been keeping busy. I have to write a letter and send a b-day card off to my brother-in-law that is in prison, and I can see myself going through lots of emotions. Good luck to everybody. I will see you on the losing side. Darcy

Hello everyone again!! It's good to see you. I too am very nervous. Trying to still keep my self together at times. I know that this is the best thing for me. We all are going to be fine. I am looking forward to being on the losing side with all of you!! I bought a few things for the hospital. I thought that I would share with you.Brush-Ups by oral b, ( suger free) they clean your teeth & gives fresh breath with out useing water. (The hospital said that it was fine to use)Chap stic, and Huggies disposable washcloths with baby wash. Just add water. Soaps in the cloth. I bought the ones with lavender and chamomile ( calming agents ). I wont be taken a shower at the hospital. So this at least on my arms and face will make me feel and smell clean. Atleast they smell good. Hope that you are all doing well. I am going to try to relax these next couple days. I am trusting God. He knows the best for us. Take care, Love, Donna P.

Hey All!! Sunday here and only two days now. Well I'm sorta nervous mostly I'm just ready to get the waiting over with. Everything is done and I'm just sort of here waiting. I haven't gotten anything for the hospital. I will only be in overnight. My surgery has been moved up to 7:30 am so I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. I'm just glad I won't have to sit around waiting on Tuesday. I am on a clear liquid diet tomorrow too but no bowl prep. I'm ok with that..lol good luck to you all. Only two more days till our new life begins. Amy www.closertofine.net

Hey Sheryl The same date and we are both from CA. Thats cool. I am having my surgery at Arcadia Methodist Hospital in Arcadia. Costa Mesa is about 40 min from me. So your from Barstow and your having your surgery in Costa Mesa? Is that the nearest surgery center to you? Good luck to you with your surgery. There are quite a few of us 26ers here. all my best, Amy

Amy, I think there are some closer, but two of my cousins and a co-worker went to this same doctor. Since I was scared enough, I figured it would be easier to go to the same doctor knowing how well they turned out. I'm happy to see so many others. It will be nice to go through this with you all.
