HOW MUCH HAVE YOU LOST?
Hi Pam-My surgery date was 07/06/05. I did not lose any weight before surgery. At my first weigh in which was at 2 weeks, I had lost a total of 22 lbs. Since then which has only been 2 days ago I have lost another 1.5 lbs for a total of 23.5 lbs. For exercise right now I am walking to the end of our driveway and back twice daily. We live in a rural area and live about 700 feet off the road. A typical day of eating now is one whole large egg in the a.m. Midmorning I substitute a no added sugar fruit ice pop instead of juice. Lunch I usually have 2 oz of deli ham or rotisserie chicken (without skin). Midafternoon I have another fruit ice pop or protien shake. Supper is the same as lunch usually chicken with a small amount of cottage cheese. Both are high in protein. Make sure what you eat is moist. That really is the key I think which is why I buy the rotisserie chicken. It's so good and moist. One thing I have learned so far is that all the doctors are so different about what and when you can eat. I hope you can start holding food down. Believe it or not, you have to eat to lose weight. The more protein the better. Take care. joyce
Surgery date 7/12/05. I tried but don't really know.Had already blown every scales mind around here. When I got home from hospital onthe 13th new scale weighed me 374.9, when I went to the doctors on 19th his scale said 360,My scale now weighs me 346. I go to the doctor's 8/8 for my one month check up. I drink my 4oz. of clear liquid at 15 min. intervals. When they are finished I get up and walk 10 laps around our double wide withextension added to the back. It makes a convient circle and is air conditioned. My eating right now is a liquid diet. I mainly have been adding unflavored whey purchased at GNC to skim milk with 2 spoons of sugar free Nestles Quick, or to WalMart brand SF drink mixes. (I prefer the early sunrise, and peach flavors), also chicken broth. It keeps my sallt cravings in tack but does cause water retention.
Hi Pam,
Great idea, thanks for putting this out.
