Another post about eating....
I am on a strict diet ordered by the doctor and nutritionist. Week 1 is clear liquids. This includes water, crystal light, sf jello, sf popsicles, broth, kool-aid, etc. Weeks 2-3 are full liquids. The same as above with more included. Included would be protein shakes (necessary to get enough protein in diet), milk, sf pudding, sf yogurt, lite cool whip, sf fudgesicles, smooth soups (except tomato, too much sugar), etc. The site where the surgery took place is still swollen, so need these to let it heal good. Good luck with your recovery.
Hi Tessa,
I am 8 days out. I can eat eggs, cottage cheese, egg salad, yogurt, cream cheese, and I am now expaning my diet. So like today for lunch I had half a piece of sliced roast beef (the deli kind) with chive cream cheese, and i rolled it. It might sound gross but it was really good. Tonight for dinner I plan on trying Wendy's chili. Good Luck

Tessa,
I came home from the hospital on a pureed diet. Surgery was 5 July and I was home on the afternoon of 7 July. Open RNY. I can have most anything as long as it's pureed. I've even pureed pizza toppings and steak. I'm not eating much only 1 - 2 Tbsp. I try and stick with naturally soft foods (mashed potatoes, refried beans, soups, applesauce, soft eggs).
Good luck,
Maria
