Morning breath horrible....
Nancy, I got mine 2 weeks post-op. I was not regular before my surgery and hadn't had a period since April. Mine is a little heavy but I think that's due to the fact that I've not had one in a few months.
As for the bad breath....I'd say that I just go around with a sweet taste in my mouth all the time....even my water tastes sweet....strange..
OMG Thank God I'm married but we both have it, as soon as we brush are teeeth it goes away. It's from all the gas we have in us ans as far as the period goes I'm on thinners tooso I' waiting too. Why should that make a difference Nancy? I hope noe I'm going tru menapause now and it's a Bit@@. Oh well I'll deal with it when it comed
s likw everything elsed. If you don't mind me asking why are you on blood thinners? They found a blood clot in my anles , a few of them so for the next 6 months and keep getting m,y blood checked. How about you?
Hugs, Cheri

It is common practice among many surgeons to have you come home from the hospital needing blood thinners for a few days. In fact, everyone I know who has had the surgery has had to have them. Nothing wrong with it, just erroring on the side of caution since they do not want blood clots to develop.
Make sure they monitor those blood clots closeley, they can be very dangerous!

My guess is your bad breath is from Ketosis it is known for causing bad breath.
information about Ketosis~
ketosis means that your body's primary source of energy is fat (in the form of ketones). When you consume adequate protein as well, there's no need for the body to break down its muscle tissue. Ketosis also tends to accelerate fat loss --- once the liver converts fat to ketones, it can't be converted back to fat, and so is excreted.
on a low carb diet, our breath and general body odour is likely to suffer big time! This is due to the body producing molecules refered to as ketones. They're used to fuel parts of the body that would normally be fuelled by simple carbohydrates, such as glucose
Not much you can do about it. From all the information I have read making sure you drink lots of water is the #1 thing you can do to prevent it.
take care,
amy
