Home and doing great

I have been home since Monday (surgery a week ago today) and am doing very well. Some at the hospital called my the poster child for open rny surgery. At 4 hours I was out of bed and walking and pain level has not been above a 2 (0-10 scale) since. I have not had any pain meds since the day after I came home and that was half a tylenol just to insure sleep. I am on clear liquids until Sunday when I go to full liquids and I can't wait to have some variety. Haven't been hungry, bu****ching tv a lot I realize how many commercials deal with food. Society is bombarded with it. In regards to protein-you can get some free samples for nectar (yum) at 800-333-7403 and for Elite Whey at 800-500-3069. Haven't tried the Elite yet until full liquid stage. Good thought to all who have had the surgery and those who are waiting. Yesterday I finally was down to my surgery day weight-getting rid of some of the IV fluids, so I am officially on the losing side now. Well, need to go walk. Luci
