Pre-op gas problem!

I have never had a problem with gas, but last night according to my husband...the poor guy had to leave the room Is this the beginning of gas problems? Does anyone know of anything!! Thanks Jennifer U.

We should be so lucky! My doctor said that he fills the stomach up with gas durring surgery and after surgery it gets trapped behind things like the ribs, shoulders, etc. but I wish I could pass my gas so the pains would stop. I use Tums, and a back massager and walking helped the most, you could take a walk before bedtime if your able.

I have had the same problem since surgery. In reading the material from Prof. Wiener I to 2 gas-x gel caps and felt a lot of relief quickly !

Jennifer- Well, since your pre-op it's probably just something you ate! I am on a pre-op diet that had me eating some raw broccoli lately. That really caused some interested amounts of gas! (I have sloowed down on the raw broccoli due to this!) Gas X works good.... Good luck fellow 26er! Linda
