I had surgery on the 15th. I just got home from the hospital. Surgery went great. I was actually surprised that the pain was not bad at all. The time when I felt the worse pain was when I was being wheeled from the surgery room and as soon as they started giving me pain medicine I felt fine. I was on a pain pump till the next morning then they took it out and switched me to darvaset (sp). It's not really pain now as it is uncomfortable. I'm still on clear liquids although I will be trying creamy soup tonight for dinner. The only real problem I am having it when I drink or eat something like jello I don't feel hungry, but I also can't tell if I am full. So I am really cautious about how much I put in my mouth. Good luck to everyone pre op and post op. Laura

Welcome home and I am glad you are doing well. I am still having trouble with knowing what full means now. After a couple of spoon fulls or sips, I feel uncomfortable so I stop. I guess we have to relearn eating. Debbie
