Jess that's great! How awesome...this presurgery diet I have lost a whopping 4 lbs in a week. So you go girl!!!!!
As a group we have lost a total of 243 lbs. together! Isn't that unbelievable.
AND a good number of us (like me) are still waiting for surgery!

It's funny...I was actually being sarcastic when I wrote a whopping 4 lbs. However, I weighed in at the one week mark (Yesterday) at 7 lbs lost!! Yeah! I weighed this morning and had lost 2 more! For a total of 9 lbs so far!
I know I shouldn't weigh every day...but doing good on this pre-op diet is important. (They may cancel surgery or change to an open instead of lap version if my liver doesn't shrink for surgery!) So I just don't want any surprises! KWIM?
I am doing the Doctor prescribed Atkins type diet. I think it is similar to what you do in the early stages of Atkins (although I have honestly never done that one...but friends are telling me this).
I am basically on almost NO carbs. No bread, no pasta, no starchy vegetables, no fruit or fruit juice.
I mostly eat lost of meat, dairy and non starchy veggies. I am also restricted to 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. I can have protein drinks for meals or snacks if I want.
I started this a week ago Tuesday. (so it was two weeks prior) This Sunday I have to switch to a liquid diet.
I am getting more nervous
AND more excited
every day. How about you???
