Hi, I see that a lot of people are talking about Isopure. Can anyone tell me what it is...and what it's used for? Thanks, El

Good Evening, Isopure is a protein drink that you need to drink after the surgery because you do not get any protein in the first few weeks and after that.. so you need to use a supplement to replace it

My mother-in-law bought some for me for the first time this morning at GNC. I don't care for it, it has 40 grams of protein in one drinmk but they are pretty darn big drinks and don't taste that appealing to me. I'd rather get my protein with powder and drink of some kind. I'm suppose to take optifast for 3 weeks post-op which will be enough protein IF I can get down three shakes a day which I haven't done yet. After hearing everyone else's post-op diets, I really hate miy 3 week liquid diet but I guess, only my surgeon knows what he did inside my belly. so to speak.

Isopure is a protein drink you can drink before or after surgery. My favorite is the Alpine punch that comes in a 20 oz. bottle and has 40 grams of protein in it. It tastes kinda like Kool-aid to me. There are also some other Isopure that come in the powder form and in different flavors but I have not tried any of these yet. Everyone's taste is different. You'll just have to try some protein drinks till you find one that you like. Good Luck!
