July 27...here I come

I am scheduled for a RNY with Dr. Luttrell in Little ROck on the 27th. I am so excited and scared and hopefull and lots of things I guess. I haven't bought anything for when I get home, yet...I guess I need to do that. I will be having my surgery at Southwest Healthcare in LR...anybody out there been there or with Dr. Luttrell? I am having my sleep study tonight...don't really know what to expect there...

Congratulations Melinda! I will pray for you to have a speedy recovery! Mine is set for July 28th my nervousness is setting in too...God will take care of us both.

I am also having my RNY on July 27th. In Charlotte, NC with Dr. Voellinger. I am on my second day of a 14 day liquids only diet. Not as easy as it sounds My stomach growls alot. We will be twins same day surgery, I wonder how many others are on the same day?? Rita

Congradulations Melinda on getting your surgery date. It seems that I too am schedualed for surgery on the 27 of July. My doctor is David Kim, & have heard nothing but good thinds about him. Good luck to you, and I too will pray for your safe and speedy recovery. Janelle V

Hi Melinda, I too am scheduled for 7/27, I don't think it ha**** me yet though. Has anyone gotten around to making out a Will? I for some reason am feeling like I have all the time in the world b4 the surg date. I have to go to Nutrition on Monday coming ( My last step) and I am also going to go to a teaching class that evening at the hospital (God willing) since it has been a year since I went to the first one. I want a refresher of sorts I guess. I have to then go back the next dayto sign my consent forms. I am hearing alot about the liquid diet, I wonder why they have not started me on that yet? My mom gave me some liquid laxative to take, she says "make sure you clean yourself out good" LOL, I am glad to see all of you guys here. I think we should make a post for when the 7/27 crew comes home (whenever we are able) I still have not done food shopping. So much to do.
