The BIG Day 7/15
Tomorrow is almost here. Time to see my surgeon and start my new life. I am extremely excited inside. It doesnt seem that way on the outside but I am. I am on a clear liquid diet today. I think it will go very well. I know that I am not allowed to eat today and so doesn my husband so he is avoiding cooking which is nice of him! I havent had anything yet but I was considering a glass of water or something along those lines!
Well I would love to hear from those who share the day with me. I will try to post ASAP when I get home, I think I may be able to get my cousin who is watching my 3 YO to do it for me so I can post from the hospital! Hopefully I dont forget. I am going to pack and notebook and pen so that I can write things down, names and stuff so that I can be as accurate about everything as possible!!!!!
See you on the other side!
Carrie
Carrie, I just had my surgery on the 12th and came home on the 13th. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I have a very high pain tolerance level though. The only hard part now is the getting up out of chairs or from bed. The liquid pain meds taste awful but it sure beats the pain. Wal-Mart has a sf brand of orange drink called morning sunrise. I bought some unflavored whey at a GNC healthfood store and I add it to nearly everything. You can't taste it but it ups the protein level tremendously and from what everyone says on here the more protein and water you drink the better you lose. I have been drinking 4 little ounce cups at my 15 minute intervals and then I walk 5 laps around the interior of my house. Good luck with your surgery, my prayers will be with you. Alice
