WOOHOO!!!! I'M Home

I asked hubby to check in for me - but well, he is very forgetful. anyway, surgery went fine. The hospital staff was wonderful - everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Right as I woke up in recovery I was hurting but I would say the pain was not as bad as I had expected. Within 12 hrs it was tolerable. Morphine is a wonderful thing . Everyday got better (just like everyone kept saying it would) I still have pain on my left side frequently but he sent me home with drugs which helps alittle. I have to say walking is the key. You dont really want to get up and walk but if you do it makes it alot better. I think I am pretty sick of jello and broth already. At least since I got home this afternoon I can have crystal light and popsicles and stuff too - I even broke down and had a couple of bites of cream of whea****ered down. I am so looking forward to my new life. Carie

Welcome Home Carrie, Glad you did so well. I pretty scared as my surgery is on the 27th. I don't know why the date is not showing up in July for me. Take care and keep in touch and let us know who you're doing. Cil

CARIE I am so glad things went well, I have surgery -0pen rny-on Friday and pray things will go as well. I am pretty determined to walk my socks ( OR SLIPPERS) off, so hope I feel the same way after surgery. Sure looking forward to that broth, etc. ha ha Luci
