I'm on the losing side!!

Went to my surgeon today as I have developed a minor infection in my incision. He put me on some antibiotics and told me it was good that I caught it so early. He also removed my drain tube today, YIKES! They warned me at the hospital that this would hurt and to load up on medication before having it done. Since I didn't think he would do it until this Thursday when he takes out my staples I didn't do that today. I darn well made sure I got good and medicated when I got home tho! Now for the really good news...they also weighed me while I was there and i have already lost 32 pounds in less than 1 week! WOO HOO!!! Kinda makes the pain alot easier!

Congrats Timothy! Wow, you don't mess around-- do you?!?! I big 32 lbs in less than a week. Congrats, congrats congrats. This is the kind of inspiration us pre-ops needed....all the stories about your hospital stays. Well, I want to read it- but then I get freaked out. Thanks for sharing....and did I say Congrats?!?! Congrats Tim-We had our surgery on the same day. Did you have open RNY or Lap? Was your tube that was removed a G-tube? I have a G-tube and although I understand it will be in 6 weeks, I am scared to death for them to remove it. I know they have to put I fear pain of that sort. Take care. joyce

WOWOWO I can't believe it good for you. I hope I have the same good news or at least pretty much close to it. See that makes it worth while. I can't wait to see your after pics cause your a good looking guy to begin with. I mean that Tim. I'm glad they caught your infection just in time. They took my tube out before I came home. Now make sure you get plenty of meds before you go this time HUGS< Cheri
