The 15th
Only 5 more days til my surgery I'm getting so nervous. I feel like I have completely blanked out on everything I am suppose to do post op. I also feel weird I haven't seen or spoken to my surgeon since April. Is it normal to only see your surgeon once prior to surgery? It is nice to be able to read about people who are going through the same thing as you at the the same time. I wish everyone well, I will keep posted on whats going on. Good Luck Everyone!!!!

HI Laura,
You are not alone! My date is the 14th, so we are close. I only saw my doctor once, but did a lot of preparatory work with the Bariatric Staff. But I just saw mine last week. That does seem like a stretch from April, but I'm guessing it is pretty normal.
My thoughts will be with you on your surgery and speedy recovery!
Take care!
Lisa
Congrats Laura!!!
I'm having surgery tomorrow. I can't sleep, despite taking a seditive. There is so much going through my mind. I'm not scared to have the surgery, but as most, have a fear of the unknown. I've never had surgery before and it's a little weird for me.
I'll say lots of prayers for you that you'll feel better and better as each day passes and that your surgery goes off without a hitch!!!
Welcome to the rest of our lives!

Hi Laura-
We are on the same day!!! I feel the same way, i'm so scared I'm not gonna know what to do after surgery. We'll get through it though. I'm not as scared this week, last week was rough for me, having second thoughts and all. This week i just want to get it over with so i can stop worrying about it already. I last saw my surgeon in May, but met with his asst. in JUne. I'm sure they've got ya covered. Best wished to you Laura, we'll be on the losing side soon!!
Hugs,
Pam
I'm a 15ther too. There is so much to do - cleaning and getting rid of all the junk food in the cabinets - and I just can't get the motivation to get up and do it. I just keep looking at my 4 month old son and wondering if I've made the right decision. My husband is trying to be supportive but I can tell he'd rather I just be heavy instead of taking such a risk. I'm trying not to second guess myself. I know these are just the pre-op jitters.
I wish all of you about to undergo the surgery the best of luck.
