I did it! I'm home after July 7th surgery

Hi everyone. I came home today. I had RNY, gall bladder removed, and hiatal hernia repair. My doc said that the hernia made the surgery last much longer and will add to my recovery time and pain. Well, I believe it because the pain is miserable right now. I'm taking Percocet as often as I can, but never get close to relief. I'm glad that I did this, but I can't wait to get to the point where I don't hurt all the time. I'll post more later when I'm feeling a little better.

Congrats Sandra!!! I'm having surgery tomorrow. I can't sleep, despite taking a seditive. There is so much going through my mind. I'm not scared to have the surgery, but as most, have a fear of the unknown. I've never had surgery before and it's a little weird for me. I'll say lots of prayers for you that you'll feel better and better as each day passes Welcome to the rest of our lives! Amy K. Burbank, CA

Thank you so much for everyone that replied. I'm doing much better now, and I don't feel like "OMG what did I do?" LOL At the time I was writing this post I was feeling rotten and I felt like I wasn't doing "good enough". I read some posts where people just seemed to breeze through it. It's funny because now that I have gone back to read those posts again, I realize that wasn't actually the case and maybe I was being a little hard on myself. Anyhoo, for those that have had your surgeries hooray and keep up the good work and for those waiting (pacing;) I send best wishes to you. Thanks again for your encouraging words
