I want to wish you all that had your surgery

Hi everyone I've been away for 4 days now and theres alot going on. I want to wish everyone well who had there surgery and who are about to have it. Also, welcome to all the NEWBIES too. The reason I was away was because I had my surgery too, and I'm starting to come around now. Cheri

Cheri did you have lapband or gastric bypass? I'm glad you're doing better. I'm scheduled for lapband on July 28th and I'd like to know what to expect. Will I honestly be able to go back to work or will the pain be too much? My surgery is on a Thursday and I am supposed to be back at the office on Monday. How realistic is that? Maria

Maria, Just in response to your post....I had LapBand on Wednesday July 6th. I was in the hospital for about 6 hours. I then went home....I was in pain for the first couple of days. I am on my 5th day post op now....I feel better, I am still in pain but not as much and I can move around a lot easier....my boss knows what I did and knows when I come back tomorrow I will be about worthless but I will be there and trying to work. I think I will be ok just as long as I dont push myself. Just take it easy after surgery don't push yourself. I think I will try for a walk later this afternoon. Take care - Jenn

Congrats Jenn!!! I'm having surgery tomorrow. I can't sleep, despite taking a seditive. There is so much going through my mind. I'm not scared to have the surgery, but as most, have a fear of the unknown. I've never had surgery before and it's a little weird for me. I'll say lots of prayers for you that you'll feel better and better as each day passes and that your surgery goes off without a hitch!!! Welcome to the rest of our lives! Amy K. Burbank, CA
