Surgery postponed UGHHHH!!!
I talked to the secretary this morning and all was fine. Doc came in this afternoon and has to be out of town for my surgery date so I have been postponed, Luckily it is only for 4 days. I am already going crazy and the waiting in killing me. I just wrote posts to others last night trying to boost thier moral. I guess I will have to practice what I preach. The wait is just so nerve wracking, but I will make due. God must have a reason for making me wait.

So... Monday, huh? I'm sooo sorry you were postponed, Patricia... I know how it is to get all pumped up... I can't imagine the let down of being postponed. I will pray that it is indeed going to be on Monday.
You know, I would say that God must have a reason, or even many reasons. You never know... you might need the care of just a certain nurse, who will not be on duty until next week... or.... who know? Let's trust that it is for the best for YOU!
I got home today, from surgery Tuesday... doing well!!
Lori
Pat, do you by any chance know of a Lois Thompson (now Compton)? She went to Kenwood HS and graduated in"62. That is my sister, and one of her best friends in HS was a Pat Miller. My sister still lives there in Essex also. I am having my surgery on the 12th also. I will pray that every thing goes well for you.
No I didn't graduate until 67. I will ask my husband he graduated in 62. My maiden name was Moore, not much change huh. My surgery is on August 2. I do belive God changed things for a reason. Who is your surgeon? I will keep in touch and pray for your fast recovery. I wish us both a happy healthy future and many years in our new bodies. Good Luck and God be with you.Pat
Hi again, Pat. My surgeon is Dr. Watson Roye. He is very nice. He removed my gall bladder at the end of May, so I am pretty familiar with him. He tells me barring any complications I should be out of the hospital within 24 hours. I am glad because hopefully my hospital bill won't be so terrible. I graduated from Overlea in '65. When I went for my pre-op screening and blood work yesterday the anestheisiologist told me that when I wake up in recovery I will still have the tube down my throat and one up my nose and also a catheter. I am not looking forward to all of that. I had hoped all that mess would be removed before I woke up. Especially the tube down my throat, it makes me gag just thinking about it. Oh well, whatever it takes to get this show on the road. I am just so ready to get it all over with. I have been trying to get use to the high protein shakes...my doctor said add another one third cup of powdered milk to give you more protein...I can handle the shakes but not with the extra powdered milk. The smell of that stuff turns my stomach. I will have to find something else. I guess I will go get some of that Isoprure that people have been talking about on here. Well I have rambled enough, Take care, Aug.5 will move up real quick. Thanks for your prayers. Alice
Pat, So sorry to hear that your surgery has been postponed, that must be so frustrating. You are correct in that God has a reason for all, there must be a good one for this delay. At least it is only four days, although I know that sounds like an eternity right now. Think of all of the time you have spent getting ready for this.
Thinking the best of thoughts for you,
Jamie
