THIS IS MY FAVORITE VERSE. IT'S APPROPRIATE FOR THOSE OF US IN SCARY SITUATIONS. IT'S WORTH TAKING THE TIME TO LOOK IT UP IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE VERSE. HI EVERYONE. Linda, I am relatively new here too but I wonder about the appropriateness of this post? I don't come here for religious teaching. I also think this sort of thing might make those in this community who are not christian feel a little "left out." I don't know, but your post makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Shari-- I understand how you feel--but you have to understand that most of the people on this board are christian and thats its natural for them to discuss their faith when dealing with this surgery. If they started to preach to you, then I can understand you be offended. I can't relate to the praying,god and jesus stuff either but I won't tell those who do believe not to express themselves. I don't feel uncomfy at all with your post, Linda... I just wish you had written the verse out, so I didn't have to go look it up!! I got home today from my Tuesday surgery.... wow... I did it. Lori

Linda, I loved your post.I agree with it wholeheartedly. I am forever saying to myself "What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee......" I never can remember the reference but it is what I will be thinking as I go under on the 12th. I plan to commit 2Tim. 1:7 to memory also. If it is scarey to others then all the more reason to BELIEVE. God Bless you, and welcome to the Texas message board.

Hi Linda. Please don't feel uncomfortable about your post . There was nothing wrong with it . Some people here are religious and some are not, but you were not pushy in any way and people Have the choice to read what they want .It wasn't like you made it a secret that you were talking about a bible verse. I very much appreciate your post and thank you for the verse. alena

Thanks for posting this and I posted earlier that Psalm 18 is wonderful also. As for anyone , if I am offending anyone, please do not hesitate to contact me. That is mot my purpose at all but I do feel I have the right to say what I need to say in relation to this life decision.

Linda Thanks for the post. I take much encouragement from reading others posts and from scripture, and right now I will take all the encouragement I can get-my surgerry is one week from today-July 15-woohoo Luci
